Crowned with Love

Crowned with Love

Love is an intense feeling of deep affection. There are many kinds of love…

Eros (passionate love)
Pragma (enduring love)
Ludus (playful love)
Philia (deep friendship)
Philautia (self-love)
Storge (familial love)
Mania (obsessive love)

The love I want to talk about with you today is Agape love or the fatherly love of God for people, and the people’s reciprocal love for God. God’s great love for us can be understood better by knowing what God does for us and understanding what He is really like.

Praise the Lord, my soul and don’t forget his goodness-
Forgives our sins

All secrets. All hurts. All hours of evil, minutes of worry. The mornings you awoke in the bed of a stranger? His love will cover that. The years you peddled prejudice and pride? His love will cover that. Every promise broken, drug taken, penny stole. Every cross word, cuss word and harsh word. His love covers all things.

Let it.

–Grace for the moment: A Love worth Giving

Praise the Lord, my soul and don’t forget his goodness-
Heals our diseases
Redeems us from death

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believe in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

-John 3:16

Praise the Lord, my soul and don’t forget his goodness-
Crowns us with love, righteousness, and justice
AND we receive all these without deserving them.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this While we were still sinners Christ died for us.

- Romans 5:8

God is….
All knowing/ever present
Loving & Faithful
Good & Generous
Merciful & Forgiving
Righteous and Just

As high as the sky is above the earth, so great is his love for those who respect him.

- Psalm 103:11

The big news of the Bible is that God loves you.

His thoughts of you outnumber the sand on the shore. You never leave his mind, escape his sight, flee his thoughts. He sees the worst of you and loves you still. He knows you better than you know you and has reached his verdict: he loves you still.

-Grace for the Moment-Come thirsty

Lord, there is no one like you. I thank you today for loving me. For knowing me intimately. I thank you for taking time for me. I love you too. I want to demonstrate this love through actions, services, praise, and dedication to you daily.

You are so Good!
